Map

The Map gives you a live, bird's-eye view of your business on a map — where your scheduled work is, where your projects and customers are, and where your crews are. It's a monitoring view: a quick way to see what's happening and where, without digging through lists.

Where to find the Map

Choose Map from the left sidebar.

The Map screen

How the screen is laid out

AreaWhat it does
Tabs (top left)Switch what the side list shows: Accounts, Projects, Tasks, or Employees.
Date & TeamPick a date and, optionally, a single crew. The map and the Tasks list narrow to scheduled work for that day and crew.
SearchFind a specific account, project, task, or person by name.
Layer toggles (colored dots)Show or hide each type of marker on the map — Tasks (orange), Projects (green), Accounts (blue), Employees (cyan).
Side list (left)The items for the active tab. Click any one to fly the map to it.
MapColor-coded pins for everything that's switched on. Markers cluster when zoomed out.

The Map is read-only — it's for seeing where things are, not for changing them. To schedule or reassign work, use the Schedule.

The four views

Tasks

The default view. Shows the tasks scheduled for the selected date — each with its status, budgeted hours, crew, and project. Click a task to center the map on its job site. Use the date and team pickers to see a specific crew's day.

Projects

Every project that has a location on the map.

The Projects view on the Map

Each project shows whether its job site is marked by a simple Radius (a circle around a point) or a precise Geofence (a drawn boundary). Click a project to jump to it. If you have permission, you can draw or adjust a project's geofence right on the map — useful for defining exactly where a job site begins and ends.

Accounts

Your customers and vendors that have an address — clients in blue, vendors in purple. Click one to center the map on its location.

Employees

Team members with a recent location, so you can see where your people are. Click a name to center the map on them. (Showing employee locations is permission-controlled.)

Tips

  • Start with the date. The Tasks view is tied to the day you pick — set it first to see the right schedule.
  • Declutter with the dots. Turn off marker types you don't need so the map shows only what you're looking at.
  • Click to fly. Any row in the side list re-centers the map on that item — faster than panning around.
  • Pick a crew. Choose a team to focus the map on just that crew's day, then Clear team to see everyone again.
